     Larry Kerpelman's writing and editing reflects both his widely varied personal interests and his educational background. His work has appeared in a variety of popular publications, such as The Boston Globe, The Boston Globe Magazine, HealthWorks magazine, and GreenPrints magazine, as well as in professional journals, among them The  Journal of the American Medical Association, Physicians News Digest, The Chronicle of Higher Education, and Journal of Counseling PsychologyAmong his numerous awards for writing and editing, he has received the prestigious Lamplighter Award from the New England Society for Healthcare Communications.

     In his long professional career, he has been involved in research, teaching, and consulting in human behavior and in public policy issues. He retired as Vice-President and Director of Corporate Communications from a 30 year career at a major public policy research and consulting firm and now does freelance writing and editing for himself and others. ​His bachelor’s degree in psychology is from The Johns Hopkins University, and his doctorate in clinical psychology is from The University of Rochester.
Larry lives in Acton, Massachusetts with his wife, Joanie.
